Shree Mithilapuri Ji Digamber Jain Teerth Kshetra

मिथिलापुरी तीर्थ एक परिचय

The "first year" of the establishment of Shri Mithilapuri Ji Teerth
------------------------------------
With the auspicious blessings of Param Pujya Acharyas, Munirajas, Aryika Matas and Saints and Pujya Dadaji Late. With the inspiration of Mr. Subodh Kumar ji Jain and respected father Mr. Ajay Kumar ji Jain, Ara, with the help of all the office bearers of Bihar State Digambar Jain Teerth Kshetra Committee and all the great souls, last year on May 9, 2022, the 19th Tirthankar Lord of Jainism Shri Mithilapuri ji Teerth, decorated with 4-4 welfare (conception, birth, penance and only knowledge) of Mallinath Swami and 21st Tirthankar Lord Naminath Swami, i.e. 8 welfare, was duly restored.

In the auspicious company of H.P. Acharya Shri Pramukh Sagar Ji Maharaj Sangh, the Vedi prestige and setting up of idols of Bhagwan Adinath Swami, Bhagwan Mallinath Swami and Bhagwan Naminath Swami, which appear to be of fourth period, at Shri Mithilapuri Ji Tirth. First Jinbimb installation and small Panchkalyanak Pratishtha Mahotsav was grandly organized.

In Jainism, there are 120 Kalyanakas including five Kalyanaka regions of 24 Tirthankaras. Out of which pilgrimages had been established in 112 welfare areas. The eight welfare areas of Shri Mithilapuri Ji were still left, the establishment of which the entire Jain society was waiting for not decades but centuries, that too has been completed with the establishment of Shri Mithilapuri Ji Tirth. It was a very proud moment for all of us Jains.

It is about those days when we used to live in Arrah and I used to study in Arrah Jain School. Grandfather often used to write letters to Shwetambar community leader of Kathmandu, Nepal, Mr. Hulas Chand Ji Golcha, regarding getting land in Janakpur, Nepal, to establish this pilgrimage and established Shri Mithilapuri Ji pilgrimage by establishing Digambar and Shwetambar temples together. Wanted to do In those days, Dadaji Shri Bihar State Digambar Jain Teerth Kshetra Committee's "Honorary Minister". Used to be Then father Mr. Ajay Kumar ji Jain got the responsibility of handling all the pilgrimages of Bihar. He also tried tirelessly that somehow we Jains get land in Janakpur, Nepal. Several meetings of the Jain society were held between the Ministry of External Affairs and the ambassadors both in Delhi and in Kathmandu. But success could not be achieved due to political upheaval in Nepal.

In the year 2016, I was unanimously made Honorary Minister of Bihar State Digambar Jain Teerth Kshetra Committee. I had never imagined such a huge responsibility. Taking care of the arrangements of 12 pilgrimages located in Bihar and about 50 temples in that too, I thought maybe how would I be able to handle this task. But gradually all the pilgrimages went on getting organized and a lot of development work was also done on all the pilgrimages. I started enjoying a lot and got many opportunities to visit pilgrimages on this pretext. Along with the family, my time was also spent in the service of pilgrimages. Meanwhile, our wife Manjari Jain passed away. I felt that now my world has ended. But perhaps by serving the pilgrims, my sorrow reduced a lot.

To fulfill the dreams of respected grandfather and father, I also started trying to buy land in Nepal. But, while visiting I came to know that land in Nepal will be given only to people having Nepalese citizenship.

After that, efforts started to take land around the Nepal border. Success was found in 2019, about 60000 square feet of land was bought on the Sursand-Janakpur road, 30 km ahead of Sitamarhi, near Mallibada village in Nepal (12 km before Janakpurdham, Nepal) and the effort to establish the pilgrimage started. P.P. With the blessings of Ganini Aryika Gyanmati Mataji, Swastishree Ravindrakirti Swami ji sent the footprints of both the Tirthankaras to be placed on the area and the pilgrimage was established.

With the blessings of Param Pujya Mata ji, a 11.25 feet statue of three Tirthankaras with lotus is about to be installed in the area. However, knowing that there would be some delay in this, it was decided to place the small idols of the three Tirthankaras at the shrine.
In order to establish the Vedi Pratishtha and the first Jinbimb on the pilgrimage site. Poo Acharya Shree Pramukh Sagar Ji Maharaj gave his blessings and on my request he immediately went from Chandravati, Banaras via Kakandi towards Shree Mithilapuri ji even in this severe heat.

After Muzaffarpur in North Bihar on the Nepal side, no Digambar monk had been sent to Bihar till date in Sitamarhi district. Therefore, to avoid any untoward incident, after meeting the District Magistrate and the Chief Superintendent of Police, after declaring Acharya Shri Sansangh as the chief guest of the district, two vehicles of the police force were arranged. Cooperation was also established with the Nepal Police so that Acharya Shri could go to Nepal.

Date-  On May 9, 2022, Acharya Shri Sangh's Grand Mangal Pravesh took place at Shri Mithilapuri Ji Tirth and in his presence the statues of all the three Tirthankaras were duly installed on the newly constructed new altar. Acharya Shri also got the other two idols done for small Panchkalyan. The program concluded with great enthusiasm and joyous religious atmosphere amidst many noble souls.

There was a wave of happiness in the entire Jain society and in the last 01 year thousands of pilgrims came to Shri Mithilapuri ji,  By worshiping the pilgrimage, seeing and worshiping God, they are considering themselves virtuous and are helping a lot in the development of the pilgrimage.

P. Fifth note of musical scale. Charya Shiromani Acharya Shri Vishuddha Sagar Ji Maharaj has blessed the 33-33 feet tall Khadgaasan idols of all the three Tirthankar Gods at Shri Mithilapuri ji pilgrimage in the recently concluded Durg and Chaurai Panchkalyanak Festival to conduct a grand Panchkalyan. .

Development work is being done at a rapid pace at Mithilapuri Ji Teerth. Presently a 10 room Dharamshala is being prepared and the work of construction of boundary wall is also going on in the area. We request all the devout brothers of the Jain community to visit this wonderful and historical eight welfare land and cooperate with their body, mind and wealth in the development of this much-awaited restored Shri Mithilapuri ji pilgrimage and become a part of great virtue.< br /> Contact for any information related to Shri Mithilapuri Ji Teerth Kshetra...
