Parishad has always been a popular institution of the society due to its progressive ideas. Due to the inspiration of the council, there was an awakening in the society, printing-publishing of the scriptures, giving the right to worship to the Dasas, the practice of inter-caste and mass marriages, stopping the practice of death, running a campaign to eradicate female feticide, etc. Many works were done.
The mouthpiece of the council "Veer plays an important role in the protection of Jainism, social organization and promotion of the objectives of the council at the national level and is sent free of cost to the members of the council.
Parishad is the representative national body of Digambar Jain Samaj. In the year 2010-11, the council has constructed a multifunctional council building at Kalkaji area near Nehru Place in the capital of the country. Digambar Jain Temple Central and Delhi State offices are located in the Parishad building.
The council has been working on many issues like social organization marriage information center, prevention of social evils, protection of Jain culture, respect of activists and scholars, moral education, prevention of procrastination and disruptive elements etc. Simultaneously, in creative works, organizing marriageable youth-girl introduction conferences and group marriages, awarding scholarships for meritorious students, helping the helpless and needy, protecting their existence through media and judiciary, is constantly striving for women's empowerment. .
There have been 37 national conventions and more than 50 casual conventions across the country, through which the council has guided the society.
