Shree Jain Samaj Goushala, Ahore is a public charitable trust founded in the year 1972 by the elderly people of Jain Samaj with an aim to protect stray Cows and Ox and all other ill animals in and around Ahore Tehshil and surrounding Village. This Village is located in Jalore Dist. Rajasthan where the temperature during the summer season will go up to 50 degrees and during winter season the temperature comes down to 5-6 degrees and during this summer and winter this stray animals does not have shelter and food and water to survive the extreme degree of temperature and with the object to provide the protection to stray and ill animals this Goushala started with 200 animals in the year 1972 and year on year on animals were got added and at present we have more than 1100 animals.
We have Veterinary Doctor and Compounder in Goushala to give medical treatment for the ill and weak
animals. We also have ambulance facility to bring animals met with road accident and further we extend this facility to people who cannot afford medical expenses of their personal animals.
This Goushala is spread over 320 acres of land and we have plan to add another 4000 animals in the coming years. At present we have four shades of 20000 square feet each and where-in each shade we can accommodate 200 animals only but at present due to shortage of shades we are keeping all the 1100 animals under the four shades.
