The 12th Tirthankar Lord Vasupujya Swami had attained salvation from the Mandargiri mountain and it was here that God's penance and only knowledge welfare also took place. After attaining Kevaljnana, the voice of GOD was first scattered here. This is a very attractive pilgrimage site in the lap of nature, which is revered and praised for all of us. The credit of bringing this area to light, Late Babu Dev Kumar Ji Jain ‘Ara’,  Late Rai Bahadur Keshare Hind Babu Sakhichandra Ji Jain ‘Calcutta’, Late Harnarayan Ji Jain ‘Bhagalpur’ is to With great effort, he got the unique fund of Jain society under his control by registering it with the landlords of Sabalpur on 20 October 1911. Every year the Nirvana Festival of Lord Vasupujya Swami is celebrated with great pomp and rath yatra in this area. In this Shobha Yatra, full cooperation is received from the entire Jain community, especially from the Bhagalpur Jain community.

Dharamsala Temple :- This Dharamshala temple is Digambar Jain Dharamshala with all modern facilities in front of Mandarhill Railway Station. Where the office and the very beautiful grand peak are closed temple. The temple is unique in terms of carved art, inlaid with glass. The Padmasana statue of Mulnayak Lord Vasupujya is of 4 feet girth of coral color. In front of it there is 1 padmasana and 1 khadgasana statue of metal and 2 charan-couple. Reputation of Mulnayak statue Veer Samvat  took place in 2469. 15 toilet rooms, 2 sacrificial rooms and 2 big halls were constructed in Dharamshala  Is . There is proper arrangement of accommodation for the travelers in Dharamshala. Shikhar G  Pilgrims coming from here, after worshiping the Mandar mountain, take a night's rest in Dharamsala.

Acharya Vimal Bharat Digambar Jain Saraswati Bhavan :- When Acharya Shri Bharat Sagar Ji Maharaj's debut took place in Mandargiri Ji Siddha Kshetra, then with his inspiration the foundation of this Saraswati Bhavan was laid in 1996. was placed   This Saraswati Bhawan is also called as Tyagi Vritti Bhawan, due to lack of economics, this work is lying incomplete. This work is necessary for the coming sages and renouncers.  

Diksha Sthali Temple :- This temple is about ½  Kilometers North is located on the way to the mountain. Built by Seth Talakchand, Baramati (Maharashtra) in Veer Samvat 2461, also known as Patthar (Garden) temple, which is a unique specimen of architecture. Its circumference is about 4 acres of land. This temple could not be completed due to some reason at that time and remained deserted for 40-45 years. With the efforts of Bihar State Digambar Jain Teerth Kshetra Committee, in 1978, making this temple attractive, the statue of Lord Vasupujya Swami was installed in it.  Mango trees and orchards are planted in the courtyard of this temple. Garden In the middle of the courtyard there is a grand pillar built there is an office in the garden temple itself, in which necessary information is given to the visiting pilgrim.

Mandarparvat (Moksha Sthali) :- At a distance of 4 kms from Dharamshala temple is Mandar Parvat, at the foot of which there is a pond which is called  Papaharini. This pond was built by Adityasen's queen Kona Devi. From the time of Makar Sankranti on the banks of this pond, a huge fair of Hindus is held for about 30 days. People take a bath in the lake and go to the feet of Vasupujya Swami who is situated on the top of the mountain. Beyond the lake, there are many natural ponds on the hill, whose names Hindus have named Sita Kund, Shankh Kund, etc. The climb up the hill is a little over a mile. Some stairs and iron railings have also been installed by cutting the mountain to climb. In view of the convenience of the passengers, arrangement of doli is also there. There is a huge Digambar Jain temple at the top of the hill at the holy Nirvana place of Lord Vasupujya Swami. Where the rooms for the rest of the passengers have been constructed in the year - 2021. In the sanctum sanctorum  the very ancient stage of the Lord and three idols  are seated. Whose altar is made of gold workmanship.

Mulvedi :- Shri Laxman Vasudev Karavane Digambar Jain, resident of Sangli got the altar renovated in the year 1957   The wall of the sanctum is three and a half cubits wide. The temple is very ancient. This temple has been told by the Department of Archeology to be about three thousand years old.  Only near the big temple, there is a small temple of Shikharband at the place of attainment of knowledge. It consists of three ancient stage pairs. Seth Mathura Das Padmachand, Agra had   renovated its altar in the year 1985. There was a Jain statue at the entrance of the temple, but it was destroyed. Its place is maintained. A small temple has been renovated by Babu Nirmal Kumar Jain, Ara, in which a couple of feet of the Lord are seated.            

bounsi parwat.jpgTapa Kalyanak :- After a little progress from the small temple, the feet of the Lord under a rock at the place of penance Remains. This huge rock is placed in such a way that a small open cave has been formed. This cave was renovated by Shri Ramchandra Dharmachandra Jain on behalf of Shri Laxmibai Agrawal in Veer Samvat 2491.

Khadgasana Statue :- Next to the Nirvana Sthal of Lord Vasupujya Swami is a cave temple with a five feet high grand Khadgasan statue of the Lord, which was established on 4th June 1996 by Acharya Shri Bharat Sagar. It happened in the presence of Ji Maharaj. This idol was prepared and kept in Dharamsala below since 1991 and whenever an attempt was made to mount the statue on the mountain, – Then some selfish elements did not allow the idol to be raised. The case went to the High Court. Then thinking that there will be disturbance in the field,  Due to this the work was adjourned for a few days. Acharya Bharat Sagar Ji Maharaj made his debut in 1996. Then with his inspiration and with the assurance given by the Governor of Bihar, the auspicious time for the installation of the statue was fixed on June 4, 1996. Mandargiri mountain is also revered by Hindu religious people. Therefore, the possibility was being expressed that by falsely promoting the installation of the idol, by instigating the sentiments of the people, disturbance would be present as was always the case. On the second day a miracle happened, while carrying the idol, it started raining heavily in the morning, due to which not a single person from the opposing side could dare to disturb this auspicious work. As a result, the grand statue of Lord Vasupujya Swami  was easily installed on the mountain in the midst of Jainism's cheers.   This Mandargiri mountain is considered to be most sacred for other religions especially Hindus. According to mythological stories, eleven gems were obtained by churning the ocean by gods and demons by churning this mountain. Therefore, the mark of that rope is clearly visible on the mountain. Temples, caves, and fragmentary idols of many Hindu deities are scattered on this mountain. In which Narasimha cave, the huge face of Madhu Katav is carved on the stone, which is worth seeing.  Ashadh Krishna 6th Foundation Day and Bhadon Sudi Chaudas on  Nirvana Festival is celebrated every year with pomp.
