One of the world's largest Ashtadhatu temples, the biggest project of Jain society so far, Amarkantak's Sarvodaya Jain Temple, built in Odissi style with pink stones from Bansi mountain.

Amarkantak is the origin of Narmada River, Son River and Johila River. It is located in the Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh. Amarkantak, situated in the hills of Maikal, is a popular holy pilgrimage center in Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh. At this place, 1065 meters above sea level, the Vindhya and Satpura hills of central India meet. Narmada and Son rivers originate from Amarkantak surrounded by teak and mahua trees. Narmada river flows from here towards west and Son river flows towards east. The beautiful waterfalls, holy ponds, high hills and serene atmosphere here mesmerize the tourists. Nature lovers and people of religious inclination like this place a lot.
The consecration of the idol of Lord Adinath in the grand Jain temple at Amarkantak, adjacent to Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi (GPM) district, took place on March 25 under the supervision of Acharya Vidyasagar. Visitors from all corners of India are coming here to see the temple built in Odissi style with the pink stones of Bansi mountain of Rajasthan at Amarkantak, the peak of Maikal mountain range at a height of about 3500 feet above sea level.

The consecration of the 24-tonne Ashtadhatu idol of Lord Shri Adinath, the world's largest, in the newly constructed grand and huge Jain temple at Sarvodaya Jain Tirtha on the holy land of Amarkantak in the company of the great Jain seeker of the century, Digambaracharya Saint Shiromani Vidyasagar Maharaj, took place. The lotus on which the statue rests weighs 17 tonnes. Lord Adinath is enshrined in the sanctum sanctorum, along with tradition, Ashtamangal symbols have also been engraved. The aura of the statue is huge. Right-left Chanvardharini and Mangal Kalash is established above them. There is a lotus flower on the door branches and head. Jain idol Lachan Shri Vats is made on the chest of the statue. The height of the spire of the temple is 151 feet, length 424 feet and width 11 feet.
The much-awaited Shrimajjinendra Pranapratishtha Panchakalyanak Gajarath Mahamahotsav will be held from March 25 to April 2, 2023.

Magnificent Jain temple built in Odissi architectural style
This is a unique form of inspiration and blessings of Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj. Iron and cement have not been used in the original building of the Jinalaya made by the ancient method of India. The stones have been carved and pasted with a mixture of jaggery using the technique of primitive construction. The craftsmanship of Rajasthani craftsmen in Jinalaya is very attractive. Visitors get fascinated by the sculptures made on the walls, pavilions, pillars.

The foundation stone of the temple was laid on 6 November 2003. The construction of Shri Sarvodaya Digambar Temple started in 2006 under the guidance of Acharya Vidyasagar. This temple is golden in the country and the world. This statue was installed by Gyanvaridhi Acharya Shri 108 Vidyasagarji Mahamuniraj and Sanghang on Thursday, November 6, 2006 in the presence of 44 Munirajs in the auspicious time.

The temple structure, similar to Akshardham, New Delhi, covers an area of 4 acres (16,000 sq m). The pink colored sandstone of Rajasthan has been used in the construction. Magnificent artefacts like temple constructions are being made using lime and preserved stones. The foundation stone of this temple was laid on November 6, 2003 by Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, the then Vice President of India, Ajit Jogi, the then Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Digvijay Singh, the then Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, in association with Acharya Vidyasagar. This huge and grand Jinmandir has been built about one hundred and seventy feet high. Completely safe from the effects of earthquakes, this real form of Acharya Shri's imagination will be the witness of thousands of years.

The Sarvodaya Jain Temple, which was being built for 22 years in Amarkantak, has now taken shape. Cement and iron have not been used in the construction of this complex being built on a 4.5 acre campus. The height of the spire is 151 feet. With the inspiration of Acharya Vidyasagar, the foundation stone of Jinalaya and Maan Stambh, 500 meters away from the origin of Narmada, was laid in June 2000. It is said that when seen from a distance, the Sarvodaya Jain Temple of Amarkantak is similar in form to the Akshardham Temple of Gujarat, which is spread over four acres of land. This temple is the biggest project of Jain society till date,
The pink stones for the construction were brought in trucks from Dholpur Banshi Pahar in Rajasthan. 300 artisans have carved the designs on the stone. At the time of laying the foundation stone, the cost was estimated at Rs 60 crore, which has increased to more than Rs 100 crore. The drawing-design of the construction of Jinalaya and Maan Stambh has been made by Ahmedabad's architect CB Sompura.
