આ સૌથી પ્રાચીન અને પ્રભાવશાળી તીર્થ બોરસદથી 11 કિમી દૂર મહિસાગર નદીના કિનારે આવેલું છે. તે ગુજરાત રાજ્યમાં 100 કિમીના અંતરે છે.
આ તીર્થનું પ્રાચીન નામ વારિખિલ્યનગરી છે, પાછળથી સાહિત્યમાં વાલ્મીકિનગરીનો ઉલ્લેખ છે. આ તીર્થસ્થાન શ્રી આદિનાથ દાદા, શ્રી દ્રવિડજી અને શ્રી વારખિલ્યજીના પુત્રો દ્વારા પ્રાપ્ત થયું હતું જેઓ તપસ્યા હતા અને બાદમાં શુદ્ધ ત્યાગ કરીને ગિરિરાજ પાસેથી મોક્ષ મેળવ્યો હતો. તેમની વંશાવળીમાં, શ્રી કુકડ મુનિ અને તેમની વંશાવળીમાં 88000 તપ, જેઓ મહીસાગર નદીના કિનારે, કુકડિયા ગઢ ખાતે, ચૈત્ર સુદ પૂર્ણિમાના દિવસે, શિવની પ્રસન્નતા પ્રાપ્ત કરે છે. આ રીતે, આ યાત્રાધામ ગુજરાતની ત્રીજી સાબિત ભૂમિ પણ છે.

This most ancient and impressive Tirth is 11 km from Borsad on the banks of river Mahisagar. It is in the state of Gujarat at a distance of 100 km.
The ancient name of this tirth is Varikhilyanagari, later Valmikinagari is mentioned in the literature.
