Kundalpur, (Nalanda) Bihar :- Ashadh Shukla Shashthi at Shri Kundalpur ji pilgrimage area, recognized as the womb and birthplace of the 24th Tirthankara non-violent incarnation Lord Mahavira, is accordingly dated – On Saturday, 24-06-2023, his Garbh Kalyanak Mahotsav was completed in a devotional atmosphere. On this occasion, at 7 a.m. Abhishek, Shantidhara, worship of Lord Mahavir Swami's beautiful idol and program of bhajans and congratulations based on Bhagwan Mahavir took place in a devotional atmosphere.
It should be known that on this day Lord Mahavir Swami came to the womb of Mother Trishala after walking from heaven. As soon as Lord Mahavira came into the womb, the sound of bells started in the planes of Kalpavasi gods of heaven and Indra's seat trembled, not only this, many other amazing incidents also happened, seeing which the gods came to know that the Tirthankara was conceived and they All the Devganas gathered to celebrate the Garbh Kalyanak Utsav of the Lord, the Gods spread their umbrellas – The flag covered the sky with aeroplanes. The sky resounded with the praises of Lord Mahavira. Indra along with the Devas, the mother of Lord Mahavira – Sitting on the throne, the father was bathed with gold urns, and dressed in Divya Bhushan clothes etc., bowed to him after giving three Pradakshinas, after which he returned to heaven.
Earlier it is believed that Lord Mahavir's mother Trishala gave birth to a great Mokshagami Tirthankar like Mahavir after seeing sixteen dreams here (Kundalpur/Bihar). Dhan Kuber had showered crores of gems in the courtyard of Mother Trishala continuously for fifteen months (from six months before coming in the womb till birth). There is an ancient Digambar Jain temple of Lord Mahavir in Kundalpur which is under the Bihar State Digambar Jain Teerth Kshetra Committee. Where four feet and 21 feet high Manogya Utung Padmasan statue of Moolanayak Bhagwan Mahavir with newly consecrated lotus is enshrined. For whose worship millions of Jain pilgrims come here every year. The description of Kundalpur is given in Dig 0 Jain Agama texts “Dhavala, Jayadhavala, Triloyapannati” It is found in other texts. Lord Mahavir Swami's Garbh Kalyanak Temple located in the underground, where upon entering there is a supernatural feeling with infinite peace.
In his congratulatory message on this Garbh Kalyanak Mahotsav, manager Jagdish Jain has said that –“The message of non-violence told by Lord Mahavir Swami needs to be brought into life by every human being because on the path of non-violence Only by walking will the path to world peace be paved. World welfare cannot be imagined without non-violence and mutual brotherhood.
Jains from other states including Mr. Jagdish Jain, Mr. Rakesh Jain were present in this program.
