NOTE ON JAIN MILAN VASANT KUNJ (REGD)

Jain Milan Vasant Kunj is a religious and charitable society registered under Society Registration Act 1860 vide registration No. S/24011/1993 dated 22nd March 1993

Society has also availed registration under section 12A of the Income Tax Act vide renewed registration No. AAATJ1169PE 19938 dated 23.09.21 and for 80G donations under renewed registration No. AAATJ1169PF20108 dated 23/09/2021.

The society is managing Shri Digamber Jain Mandir Vasant Kunj located at Plot No. R-2, Sector B, Pocket-7, Bhagwan Mahavir Marg, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi-110070. The temple is the result of the inspiration and vision of Swetpicchacharya 108 Shri Vidyanandji Mahamuniraj (samadhisth) who supported the Society in every way and gots its Panchkalyanak celebrated under his guidance with the presence of Aacharya 108 Shri Shrutsagar ji Maharaj, Aacharya 108 Shri Basunandi ji Maharaj and Gadni Aaryika 105 Pragyamati Mataji and many other Jain Samaj Sadhu and dignatories with much fan and fare in the year 2004. In Moolnayak Pratima in the temple is that of 1008 Shri Aadinath Bhagwan besides other Pratimas. The temple design and architecture is unique and attracts peoples of other faiths also.

The Society beside above has been carrying out charitable activities in accordance with its object clause as specified in its Memorandum of Association. Its main activities include:

1. Running of a Homoeopathic Aushdhalaya (Dispensary) where on monthly average about 700 patients avail the facility of free Doctor's consultations and free medicines.

2. Providing medical helps for the needy, cancer and other patients on regular basis.

3. Organizing medical camps at occasions for the benefit of the society as a whole.

4. Providing school fee supports to poor students and encouraging talented and deserving students by honouring them and providing lump sum scholarships for further better achievements.

5. The society has large library of many religious and moral supporting books.

6. Inviting scholars for lectures to inculcate the spirits of togetherness, cohesion and cooperation and maintaining high moral values of life.

7. Operating a Peao (Providing filtered and cold water) to the thirsty and with separate

arrangements to the animals. organising bhandara, and promoting the spirits in its

members to help the needy as it collected assisted Karnataka flood victims during 2018-19. During 2020-21, its members helped migrating peoples during Covid-19 lock down and providing other help as and when need arises.

Society has always been regular in filing its Income Tax returns and complying with all the legal requirements as have been applicable to the society.
